Without a doubt, the pressures and stress levels of everyday life have escalated in our culture and created a new breed of vacation. The Body Mind Spirit Journeys (BMSJ) holiday allows one to find a sense of balance in the midst of the craziness of life. They are designed to provide vacations for those who wish to “experience” a destination, not just visit it. BMSJ tours spend more time learning to understand the social, cultural and religious aspects of the society as it is today, and then venture into the historical development of the ancient sites, their civilizations and their beliefs. Rather than just learning how and when these sites were built, we try to discover that place that caused the creation. And to try to understand their builders and their purpose.
According to Raymond M. Cortell, president of Body Mind Spirit Journeys, “when we started to design our trips, we felt we had to "re-invent the tour wheel". “We had to develop from scratch a different type of experience. One designed for those who have chosen this spiritually transformational path.” “That the special details that BMSJ provides, many traditional tour companies do not.” He added, “BMSJ understands these differences and takes the time to make these differences part of the overall package.”

BMSJ has four special divisions:
SACRED JOURNEYS are for those spiritual travelers whose desire is to visit and connect with the powerful energies of the world's most important ancient sacred sites. It's for travelers who want to journey with a smaller group of spirit-centered women and men, and where one can enjoy a rich exchange of ideas as they explore these exciting spiritual destinations. These spiritual pilgrimages for transformation and personal growth are hosted by authors, spiritual teachers and other experts in the human potential field.
WOMEN’S SACRED TRAVEL are programs to sacred sites that are designed for smaller groups of like-minded women. These cultural, wellness and mystical tours are for those who want to go beyond just touring a destination and connect with the people of the land visited. To absorb the flavor of the various cultures, and connect with the powerful energies of sacred sites while journeying in the comfort of other women travelers
BMSJ LITE is a new Body Mind Spirit Journeys division, catering to the passenger with a curiosity about sacred travel - a sort of “introduction” to the world of mystical journeys. These tours are not as spiritual as those offered by our Sacred Journeys division yet also offer an opportunity for individual renewal and personal growth. Most of the tours are locally hosted or operated in conjunction with other spiritual travel companies and present just enough spirituality to satisfy that inquisitiveness.
WELLNESS TOURS are holidays that comfort the entire being with a focus on hikes, walks, natural foods, spirituality, meditation and yoga. Feel the cool breeze across your face as you fly across the waters in a catamaran on your way to an island with a sandy beach for swimming. Luxuriate in the warm curative waters of a hot springs, soothing away the day's cares. End a day of touring with the rejuvenation of a relaxing massage or aromatherapy session. The 2008/09 line-up for these tours will be out towards the latter part of the summer.
